Five place utility, command / liaison aircraft.  Powered by two Lycoming GO-480-1 piston engines of 550 hp. Max speed of 255 mph and cruise speed  of 198 mph. Service ceiling of 22,900 fee. Max range 1,150 st. mi. The first U-9 (YL-26) was obtained by the Army in 1953.
