SFC (R) William H. Dundas II, a civilian employee of the Corning Glass company joined the New York Army National Guard in April 1948 serving until 1952. He moved to Harrodsburg with his family to work at a new Corning facility being established there and served in the Kentucky National Guard from March 1956 to July 1958 in Service Battery of the 441st Field Artillery. His job required him to move back to New York and he finished his military career with the New York National Guard's B Company, 204th Engineer Battalion. Dundas' daughter, Jan Dundas Beaver, of Minot, North Dakota shared pictures of his time in the Kentucky National Guard.
